Advantages of Cloud-based Applications

You may have noticed everyone is talking about the Cloud. They have been for a while, and the conversation is really only beginning. In the next decade, the challenge will be how to make the Cloud work for your business, optimizing the right set of solutions for your needs and, at the same time, accepting that Cloud-based applications and environments are constantly evolving, improving, and expanding. The question on many minds is not IF but HOW, or HOW MUCH to migrate to Cloud-based solutions.
What exactly does it mean to be a Cloud-based Solution? According to the NIST:
Cloud computing is a model for enabling convenient, on-demand network access to a shared pool of configurable computing resources (e.g., networks, servers, storage, applications, and services) that can be rapidly provisioned and released with minimal management effort or service provider interaction. This cloud model promotes availability and is composed of five essential characteristics, three service models, and four deployment models.
Essential Characteristics:
On-demand self-service; A consumer can auto-provision computing capabilities, such as business applications, server time and network storage, as needed and automatically, without requiring human interaction with each service's provider.
Anytime, Anywhere access; Capabilities are available over the network and accessed through a browser, mobile phone, or PDA.
Central hosting; The provider's data center provides pooled computing resources that serve many companies using a multi-tenant model, with different physical and virtual resources dynamically assigned and reassigned according to consumer demand.
Expandability = Flexibility; Data center needs can be rapidly and elastically provisioned, in some cases automatically, to quickly scale out and rapidly released to quickly scale up . To the consumer, the capabilities available for provisioning often appear to be unlimited and can be purchased in any quantity at any time.
In discussing Cloud Applications, words like adaptability, scalability and value are frequently used. With so many options for Cloud solutions, the question becomes, what is the differentiator? In the CRM field alone there are an abundance of players to choose from, so how do you choose which solution is right for your company?
Consider for example, the Bamboo Cloud which offers Hosted SharePoint as a fully integrated part of both BambooCRM and BambooSupport. This means regional team collaboration sites, product support sites, sales, and support teams sites can be created quickly and easily. Sales cycles can be accelerated, and product support streamlined with the combination of SharePoint and BambooCRM & BambooSupport.
Relationships rule business, and good communication is key to maintaining relationships. With the Bamboo Cloud, Sales and Product Support teams can move back and forth between applications with ease, accessing information vital to clients in real-time. BambooCRM and BambooSupport are up and running without any installation, so no time is lost with installs and IT issues. These solutions are easy to use, can customize to your needs, and can be accessed in the office, at home, or on the road. Best yet, with Hosted SharePoint, there is potential for more meaningful collaboration than ever before.
In the realm of Cloud-based CRM, the Bamboo Cloud stands out for ease of use, deployment, and customization. New versions, additions, and updates can be released seamlessly. There need not be a disruption of service to customers or during employees' work day. The value Bamboo Cloud delivers, at $39.99 a month for an annual bundle, unparalleled value in the industry.
