Announcing the Release of Time Tracking and Management for SharePoint
Published 11/18 courtesy of Bamboo Solutions Community
Have you ever run into a situation where, as a consulting firm, you needed to provide a detailed breakdown of the time spent by each of your consultants in order to accurately bill your client? Or, in any type of organization, your boss has asked you to provide details regarding exactly what you were working on over the course of the past year? Speaking for myself, a few years back, I had to access the total hours I had worked on projects over the previous three years in order to fill out the application for the PMP exam (I'm sure many of my fellow project managers can relate to this.). Good thing the company I worked for at the time required employees to report how all of our time was spent. Well, if your company doesn't have a tool that allows employees to track their time and wants (or needs) to start, Bamboo now offers the capability to do so in SharePoint.
I'm pleased to announce the release of Time Tracking and Management™ for SharePoint 2010. As with all Bamboo products, ease of use is a key component of this latest addition to our product line, and the intuitive interface was designed with the end user in mind. Among its features, Time Tracking and Management for SharePoint 2010 provides the necessary functionality for your resources to report their time, and for timesheet managers to view and/or approve/deny reports. If you are also tracking projects and need to compare the difference between the estimated project effort and the actual time spent as reported in the timesheet, Time Tracking and Management also integrates seamlessly with Project Management Central™.
Here are the high level features:
- Reminders:
- Timesheets for reporting based on periods:
- Approval area for timesheet managers:
- Control area for settings:
- Reports:
and much more ...
As with all Bamboo products, we invite you to try out Time Tracking and Management with a 30-day free trial, or you can skip the installation and check it out right away via our sandbox environment. As always, we welcome your feedback in the Time Tracking and Management forum.
