Anybody Need an Invite to Google Wave?
Published 11/30 courtesy of Bamboo Solutions Community
Back in June, I wrote a post entitled Google Wave vs. SharePoint. That post was a review and comparison of Google Wave and SharePoint based on the introductory presentation of Google Wave at Google's developer conference in San Francisco. At the time I was quick to dismiss Google Wave as a potential competitor to SharePoint. I went on to make a series of predictions about Google Wave, most of which seem to be playing out as I envisioned.
But at long last, I finally got my invite to Google Wave and I'm eager to dig in and make an evaluation of the experience based on the actual product, not just a staged demo.
So far the only thing I can report is that Google Wave doesn't currently work with Internet Explorer. Google uses your first login as an opportunity to push Google Chrome. It seems to work just fine with Firefox, so feel free to skip the Chrome download.
Anyway, I have 8 invites to Google Wave to share with anyone who is interested. If you would like to join me in checking out Wave, comment on this post or shoot a note to me at gaitten@googlewave.com
