Greetings from Boston & SPTechCon!

I arrived at the SPTechCon hotel yesterday evening just as the final event of the day concluded. My timing was especially unfortunate as I'd been hoping to provide coverage of the announcement of Microsoft Project for the Masses, a new Microsoft Project solution developed by Innovative-e and co-presented by Christophe Fiessinger, Senior Technical Product Manager for Microsoft Project 2010, and Dux Raymond Sy, Managing Partner at Innovative-e. In brief, Christophe explains that Project for the Masses is "a whitepaper with associated artifacts (videos, templates and discussion forum) that clearly shows how Microsoft SharePoint, Project Professional, and Project Server can be utilized to solve a particular business problem scenario without the need for intensive efforts to custom configure a project management solution." Since I wasn't there to provide a blow-by-blow, however, I'd recommending hitting Microsoft Project for the Masses to learn more.
Today got off to a much more successful start, however, as I sailed through registration and then attended two excellent presentations back-to-back to officially kick off my SPTechCon: Richard Harbridge's session on The 7 Most Important SharePoint Success Factors, and Christian Finn's Microsoft keynote on The 7 Habits of Highly Successful SharePoint Customers, in which Christian was joined by one such customer, Steve Conley of the Boston Red Sox. If you recognize a pattern there, it's purely coincidence, and I assure you that the title of every SPTechCon session doesn't begin with "The 7..."
Don't believe me? Well, I'll have you know that the next session I plan to attend breaks the pattern by upping the ante to nine with Geoff Varosky and Christian Buckley's 9 Ways to Become a SharePoint Rock Star. Come tomorrow, there will be coverage of sessions whose titles aren't numerically-based but, for today, why not join me and the Count in counting up to nine?

Really, John? A Sesame Street video? Hey, what can I say? The focus on numbers caused a flashback to childhood, so I thought I'd share.
You're welcome.
