PM Central Guide Services are delivered in three one-hour sessions designed to cover the following:
Portfolio Site Level - 1 Hour
- The Configuration Check List
- Site Features and their usage
- Lists and their contents
- Web Parts and how they are configured
- How to change the look and feel of themes and graphics
- Setting up additional push alerts for discussion boards, document libraries, issue and task escalation
- How to create new project sites and use your own site templates
- Recommendations for setting Permissions
- Customization Best Practices and Dos & Don’ts
Project Site Level - 1 Hour
- The Configuration Check List
- Site Features and their usage
- Lists and their contents
- Web Parts and how they are configured
- How to save a customized project site for use at the Portfolio Site Level
- Customization Best Practices and Dos & Don’ts
Once you have finished the two one-hour sessions with your PM Central personal guide, you will spend time on your own exploring PM Central. A subsequent one-hour session will give us time to field any questions you may have as a result of your independent exploration. Additional time, beyond the three hours provided through Guide Services, will be available as necessary at additional cost.
A personal guide to assist with the speedy configuration of PM Central can decrease evaluation time and expedite the time it takes to get PM Central running in your production environment. PM Central Guide Services is not intended to troubleshoot errors, assist with installation, or provide assistance with SharePoint-related settings or configuration outside of PM Central. Please ensure that you can confidently agree to each item in the list below prior to requesting PM Central Guide Services:
- I have a basic understanding of SharePoint
- I have followed the PM Central Application Notes and have installed PM Central successfully without error (Installation Services can assist with this) in a Development or Test environment. PM Central Guide Services will not be provided in a Production environment.
- I have created a PM Central Portfolio Site or Site Collection and have Site Collection Admin rights within the Site Collection
- I have stepped through each tab of the PM Central Portfolio site and am not receiving any errors
